Who Needs Hollywood...

when you have St.George right here!! I was listening to the radio while getting ready for work yesterday and I heard them say that James Denton was throwing the 1st pitch at the Roadrunner Baseball game that night. What tha?! JAMES DENTON! as in, MIKE DELFINO from Desperate Housewives! Of course I had to go, along with my friend Brittani Beard and Kylie Jensen! We saw him throw the 1st pitch and that was that. (yeah right!)

We continued to watch the baseball game when James walked by to talk to this lady. Without even thinking I yelled, "JAMES!!!!" I yelled, it was loud, and he was only like 10 feet away! After talking to the lady he comes over to the bleachers and says, "You just won the loudest fan award!" We talked for a bit and then I said, "I think you should come get a picture with all us ladies!" so he did...
and I made sure he sat between Brittani and I!
(and yes, I was "caressing" his back the whole time!)
So that was fun! He is such a nice person, really laid back, just an average joe! Apparently he bought half the Roadrunners team so that's pretty cool! After that sweet moment it was hard to concentrate on the baseball game! The game was alright...nothing too exciting! About the 4th inning James came back up to take pictures and sign autographs right by us! He was right beside the bleachers, right beside where Kylie is at in the above photo! We were in heaven! We got to look at him ALL dang night! Here's a few more photos...
 James talking to my mom!
My mom asked him if he would come do some plumbing at her house! She was star-struck, even on the phone!
Not too shabby for a middle-aged man!

After the ball game, I made it home just in time for all the finales!
Derek Hough won Dancing With The Stars...

even though I was rooting for Max and the ESPN girl!

And then Michael won The Biggest Loser!
Everyone looked so great! They are truly inspiring, I cry every week! I only wish, hope, and pray I have the same determination and motivation those people have as I go through my "journey", "adventure", whatever you wanna call it that I'll be going through in the next couple months! Sorry, can't say right now what I'm doing...but, "Be Confident And Take The Challenge!" right? right!

And to top off my already awesome night, I watched Bret Michaels on Jay Leno.

FYI...I was already a Bret Michaels/Poison fan before everything that has happened to him recently! I always have been and will always be a Bret Michaels fan! Got it?! He is such a sweet guy! No wonder the ladies love him! He is so funny and he's always making the most out of life! A lot happened to him and instead of taking it easy for awhile...he's going back on tour! Sign Me Up!!! I just love him and his great attitude towards life! What an amazing night! Thank You TELEVISION for making my night so great!

Tuesday Night...

and nothing to do! I'm actually just bored and thought I'd do a quick blog! Life's been going pretty smooth lately. Works been good to me. The patients have been quite...patient and I love that! We've been keeping busy and everyone, for the most part, have been good to me! We've lost a couple patients the last few months which is always sad, one being the little 5 year old boy I talked about previously. He passed away a couple months ago and get this...now his little sister has the same thing! When the parents of the little boy found about his disease they knew not to get pregnant again, but it was already too late and she was pregnant with a little girl. We have now started doing blood draws on their little girl with the same disease. And I think I have a rough life. My heart and prayers go out to this family. I'm so sorry!

Zumba has been fantastic! I just love it and I always have so much fun! I have been going since the first of the year and haven't stopped! I haven't really lost poundage but I feel more toned and...happier! Andrea, our Zumba instructor, has been amazing! Her energy and motivation in unreal. She has really changed my life! The energy she puts into Zumba is what gets me there every night! Thanks so much Andrea for getting this booty into shape!

My summer is already filling up. Family vaca in CALI, Kylee's wedding, Amber's bridal shower AND wedding, a few trips to Vegas, a couple to Salt Lake, SWIM LESSONS start, and on top of all that...work work work! Oh, and that's just in June! If I can get through June I think I'll survive! I'm just excited for the sun to come out!

Well my beloved friends and family...I love you all dearly! Much Love Ü

Viva...

LAS VEGAS!!! No matter what I'm in Vegas for, I always have a great time!! I love Las Vegas!! For once I had a weekend off and how did I spend it....working! Every once in awhile I help with a graduation company, Herff Jones, and they needed some help in Vegas this last weekend so I volunteered to go down with my sister and help out. My dad was suppose to go down but I told him I'd take his place if he would change my oil! It was a fair trade! We worked Friday 2-8 and as we were working I mentioned to my sister that we should try hitting up a show and the lady that she was helping whipped out 2 tickets to Elvis. She had free tickets cause she works for one of the hotels which means, FREE tickets for us!! So that night we went and saw the show Elvis at the Aria! It was awesome, but I like that sort of thing!

Steph and I in front of the huge Elvis head!

Attempting the "Elvis Lip"

After the show we walked the strip and got some late night food at Denny's! Steph went to Amber's and I spent a few more hours out with Brady Jones and his friend Carson. They were down for the Supercross so it was good to catch up with them and play! Even though me and Carson both lost $25 gambling! Someday we will redeem ourselves! Saturday, we laid out by the pool for a bit and then went back to working 2-8. It was a long day but we stayed very busy which was nice! Afterward we got some dinner, went to the Coke Factory and did little shopping in the Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood. All in all, it was a great weekend!
Thanks Sis! Much Love Ü

The Ironman...

was AMAZING!!! I didn't think much of the Ironman except that it was 2.4 miles of Swim, 112 miles of Bike, and 26.2 miles of Run, but it has definitely been a once in a lifetime experience! (and I just watched!) I had the opportunity to work at "The Warehouse" booth, where I do Zumba, at the Ivins Fitness Festival. The bike path was right next to the festival so we got to watch as the bikers pedaled through! Once I saw those first bikers come through my heart really went out to them, so much determination and courage and strength these athletes have! The festival was so much fun! Our booth was right in front of the stage so we got to see all the excitement, such as....THE BIGGEST LOSERS!!! I had heard on the radio that there were going to be some Biggest Losers at the Ironman but I didn't know where or when and oh my heck, there they were right in front of me all day! So being the crazy lady I am, I had to get pictures....

Seth (Season 2) * Erik (Season 3) * Jim (Season 4)

Suzy (Season 2)

Sione and Filipe (Season 7)

Dan (Season 5) and his awesome band.
His mom Jackie (Season 5) was also there!

These guys were all awesome! They would talk with everyone and take pictures with them, just awesome! Jim even came and talked with me! I was sitting at my booth later in the afternoon and so he came and sat with me and we talked for a good 30 minutes! He gave me some health pointers and some really nice compliments which was way awesome and he even told me some secrets about some of the Biggest Losers! (Don't ask cause I won't tell!) Overall, it was an incredible day! Not only did I meet some of the Biggest Losers, but I got to tell everyone about my new passion...ZUMBA! I got to tell everyone how awesome The Warehouse is and we even got to do a demo for all to see! Andrea Riggs (our instructor) is just amazing! Her energy and passion in unreal! THANK YOU Andrea for inviting me to share in your joy of representing The Warehouse and Zumba! Thank You!! After the festival was over Amy, Neighbor Nick, and I went up to Tabernacle & Main to watch the runners come through the finish line. This. Was. INCREDIBLE! I always thought that people who did these type of marathons are just plain crazy, but I've changed my thinking...they are incredible!!! There were young, old, short, tall, tiny, and bigger people doing the Ironman. The roundabout was the half way mark and finish line. It was overwhelming to see those running around the roundabout for the 2nd loop of the run, watch as those that were finishing run to the finish line. I loved cheering/yelling/supporting for the athletes. We watched for a couple hours and then decided to walk up to The Pizza Factory to get some dinner. After dinner we went home to rest after our long day. About 11:00pm me and Nick went back over to cheer on the rear! (Cause that's where I would be!) There were still lots of people still running through, a lot of them that we saw at the halfway mark! The last 10 minutes was very intense! We were pretty much yelling at the athletes to hurry! With 3 minutes left to go we had 2 runners come through the finish line! The clock struck midnight and the buzzer went off, the Ironman was over. We all looked up the hill to see if anyone was still coming and sure enough, there was 1 man still running. The crowd stayed put and cheered on this one man. This man was 62 years old and crossed the finished line at 12:01...the announcer announced him as "(his name) YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!" It was incredible! The Ironman isn't a marathon to beat the guy next to you, it's something to accomplish for yourself! Families cheering on their dad, a husband kissing his wife, friends and couples holding hands as they cross the finish line, and middle-aged women holding back the tears as they finish....you people are not crazy for what you have accomplished, you are INCREDIBLE!!!! Thank you to everyone that made this day an awesome day!!

Thank you Ironman! Much Love Ü
